Wow do I like the French Neuvo restaurant Switch! This hot spot is tucked in next to Durant's on Central (2603 N Central Ave. 602.264.2295) and it is good. Marla and I have been there twice and love it. The atmosphere has a dark and lounge-like feel with a sophisticated urban flair. There is also a great patio that I am sure we will inhabit during the cooler months.
Head chef Nathan Arguello has taken his classical French training, put his own twist on it, and come up with some savory dishes. I wish I could tell you more about the menu, but both times I ordered the same thing, the Provence Chicken (16.95). This is 8 oz. of oven roasted chicken breast with sundried tomatoes, pine nuts and a rosemary broth. It sits on a bed of risotto and comes with seasonal veggies- I had it with asparagus. It is heaven! I can't remember what Marla ate, or really much at all after the first bite of chicken. I think I went into some kind of food bliss coma. I promise, next time I will try something else and see if it is all as good as the chicken. Oh, and I should probably also pay more attention to Marla.
The owner is Tom Jetland, and he is on a role (or should I say a roll). He is also the owner of FEZ and Ticoz, two other great Phoenix hot spots. Tom, if you read this, we love you! Lets be best friends.
